Two-time Academy Award^®-winning actress Hilary Swank will serve as the celebrity host for the official kick-off of the global Blue Planet Run at the United Nations in New York City Friday, June 1.

Please join us in person Friday, June 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Dow’s Employee Development Center in Midland, where we will interact with the NYC event live before we simulcast the kick-off program to our 43,000 employees around the world.

Also in attendance will be local employees and community leaders. Dow employees from around the world will join via satellite.

About Blue Planet Run: The 2007 Blue Planet Run, presented by Dow, is the first-ever around-the-world relay to generate awareness and raise funds for safe drinking water, the single largest cause of human sickness and health-related death in the world. This global event involves 20 international runners (two from Dow) who will circumnavigate the earth’s Northern Hemisphere, passing through 16 countries in 95 days.
